Actual Experience!
Recently a Pastor rented a booth at a local Festival from 9am to 4pm on Saturday. None of them knew how to Greet, Meet and Seat prospects for a witness. A few could witness, but were fearful in getting started. The rest wanted to just hand out tracts or hide.
We sat down 6 members at tables per shift (2 shifts). We stood up front and sent them prospects who had said that they were not born again, but wanted to see what it takes.
Every one who is saved would like to be able to tell a person how to be saved, especially if the person has asked to see it.
At first the prospects were sent to those with experience. Then as the less experienced saw the simplicity, heard what the others were doing, they accepted prospects, too.
By the end of the day, 62 had made professions of salvation, 20+ had heard the good news, but did not ask the Lord to save them on the spot and over 2000 tracts had been placed in willing hands. And one man learned how to do the Greeting, Meeting and Seating (the easiest part).
This is not out of the ordinary.
